| I Would Describe Myself As | I am a contented, mature 58 year old mother and teacher. I love the work I do, although I am reaching the stage where retirement is becoming a real possibility. I belong to a reform congregation in Brooklyn - somewhat rare in this area - and am studying to have an adult bat mitzvah for my 60th birthday. Spiritually I've studied many alternative practices, and was able to return to my roots because I found a home that accepts a very open definition of what a Jew is.
