I am 45 and divorced. I am looking for someone to spend some time with who will hopefully turn out to be my best friend and intimate partner. To find only parts of that complete package might be OK for now.

I am a very laid back guy, but very opinionated as well. I never care that someone?s opinion is different than mine, but I am curious enough to question why. This all leads to what might be considered an argumentative personality, but it's not, it's just that I love a compelling conversation.

Activities: I love to do adventuresome things, but rarely do so. I never watch sports, I just seem to find other things of interest. I do, however, like to play them. I play ice hockey, go scuba diving, love canoeing/boating, etc. On the land side, I love to take long walks or hikes and the more secluded areas the better. I like tennis, bowling, and mostly anything. Can't watch NASCAR but would love to be in it.

Have to add this, I prefer to connect through my main connections of (hate playing this game) aa--ll or yyaahh----. I am there most of the day at jay a kay oh are n d c. (lol, can you put that together?

I consider myself to be extremely funny it a witty and sarcastic way. Love to laugh. It's definitely what's gotten me by. At times, life has been so bad it's funny. So, if you can?t look back (could be tough at the present time) and laugh, you've lost.

I own and run my own business in the health field. It?s challenging, rewarding, and extremely frustrating. It took too much of my life away and helped to put me where I am now. So, I need someone to deal with me as I change things up.

Love to eat out, and I will eat almost anything. Get your mind out of the gutter. Favorite is always sushi and steak (carnivore to the end). Love to eat healthy, but I love chicken wings too.

I love music and find it can definitely soothe the savage beast. It has definitely brought me out of a bad mood (walking on sunshine) as well as brought me to tears (butterfly kisses). I like all types: a little rap; country; and classical. Favorites are top 40, rock, new wave (I'm from the 80's) and oldies.

I am very honest, almost to a fault. I may have trouble with diplomacy on this one. But it goes the other way, too. Ask me anything, I mean anything, and I?m happy to answer it. Just be prepared for whatever answer may come your way. I am a very realistic person. I wish I lived on cloud 9, but I can't grasp that be happy at all times attitude. I am very independent, I don?t need my hand held to do things, but I love being with people, and of course, that special someone. Friends and family are very important to me. That?s part of my problem: family from, and in, NY, and family life WAS so time consuming here, that I don?t have many friends.

I have a 16yo daughter who has been living with me the last 14 years and now just moved to CA for HS while living with her mom (not the recent divorcee). So, I have an enormous amount of time and devotion for someone new.

I don't drink much. No problem with it, just prefer a soda (pop). I do drink, socially, but I guess I feel it should have a purpose, as in, to get drunk. No problem with that either. But, it does seem to be the social thing to do, go out for a drink, so I guess we can do that without the full end result.

Love animals. Get this, we had 2 dogs, 4 cats, 2 birds, a bunny and a ferret, and they all played together. Well, not the birds, they were just appetizers to the cats. I kept a bird for my clinic, all the others are gone. You can guess I like animals, many times more than people. Love to try hunting at one time, but I don't want to kill the animal. Hunting people, now that might be worth something.
