I am artistic, creative, outgoing, funny (hopefully you will agree) and adapt well to different social circles. I plan to start working towards my PhD in Genetics next fall. I am a bit of a science geek, but I don't discuss it much with people unless they show interest (be warned, I work with brains!) I enjoy cooking and am pretty good at it; it is always fun to try out a new recipe and share it with friends. I was brought up by a rebelling from Orthodoxy, reform Jew, been in sales/customer relations since before I was born, mother and a former contractor/mechanic 'redneck couture' father (will guzzle beer watching Nascar at the bar, had his mid-life crisis when Earnhardt died, but loves putting on a sports coat and going to one of the most expensive restaurants in town) and have adopted bits of both of them into my personality... yes, I am sane... I think. I rather enjoy graphic design and spend a bit of time messing around in photoshop or illustrator; it helps me to relax and allows me to chat with friends. I'm a bit of a conversationalist, so just talking away the day or night with someone is pretty fun. This also shapes what I like to do when I go out with my friends; I lean towards activities that allow for a good conversation (going to the beach, playing board games/sports, grabbing dinner, etc), though I also enjoy a good movie (usually comedy, suspense, scifi, or foreign). I am trying to cut back on tv and video games, succeeding so far, hehe, but I also enjoy a bit of manga. I enjoy nature and outdoor activities, even if it is just a walk. I like going to the gym 5-6 times a week, it has really grown on me, though I still mostly do cardio, need to start some more strength training. And just curling up with a good book is always enjoyable. Other than that, I just tend to go with the flow and find ways to enjoy wherever I may end up being dragged off to by others. For a first date I like to keep it simple, but sweet. We will meet up in a public place, something like Viscaya Gardens or Sunset Place, though it depends upon what who I will be meeting wants. This way it makes it very easy to be able to talk and just focus on one another, but also keeps it slightly casual off the start, allowing intimacy to be added by the flow of the conversation and how well we connect. I like to bring a little gift, nothing fancy or expensive, but just a little something that came up from a past conversation that made me think of you. This would then lead to dinner in a nice, more intimate place. Then I would leave the rest of the evening up in the air and let chemistry decide the ending.

My number one goal in life is to find love. As for my career, I want to get my PhD in genetics and an MBA, then focus on the business aspect of genetic research, eventually end up teaching at the college level and pursue some of my art. Though nothing is set in stone, the love of my life may change things around for me.

My idea of fun can be pretty much anything. The most important thing is who I am with; as long as the company is good I know I will have a great time. I am fairly adventurous and willing to try most anything within reason. Though I can be just as happy sitting at home playing cards as I would be going sky diving.

The most important thing to me is to find someone who is a positive person, who helps me to be a more positive, caring person. Other than that, I am not really specific as to what I am looking for in a man, just someone I get along well with.
