I teach high school English; I'm quite passionate about it. It's always satisfying to have a 16 year-old finally see the beauty in Fitzgerald's, The Great Gatsby! I love reading literary fiction and of course The Greats. Tolstoy and Carlos Fuentes are amongst my favorites. I am very interested in Latin American literature and culture. I like being surrounded by art and discovering new artists. I am fascinated with Frida Kahlo's art and life, as well as with Modigliani's. I adore P.J. Harvey and Nick Cave,and may even lean towards hip hop when I'm running. I'm a pretty avid runner; I like the big loop in Central Park. I enjoy indie films and live music. Mostly, my six-year old daughter is my world--the ideal man would have a warm spot for children. I'm looking for someone to have intellectual and stimulating conversation with-someone who can make me laugh. It would be great to meet a man who can talk about literature and film once in a blue, but also be goofy when the time calls for it.
