First, I am married but my wife suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and has lived in a memory care facility (in Tucson) for over 3 years. I am a long time vegetarian who has traveled the globe, spent a year and a half on an RV trip, loves camping and hiking and long daily walks with Arnie (my dog). I've been a veterinarian for almost 50 years and published a book on pets (Laughter and Tears: A Veterinarian's Memoir and Advice) about 10 years ago. I will always love my wife but I need to start taking care of myself now. I'd like to retire and enjoy every day. I enjoy cooking and games and a good hike. I am looking for someone who is physically fit, enjoys an active and vegetarian lifestyle, Jewish services occassionally and understands that I will always love my wife and take the ultimate responsibility for her care. I'm a quiet guy with a good, dry sense of humor and miss sharing life (be it a hike, movie, game, trip or even a Jewish holiday) with a companion.
