I am a southern boy and my parents raised me to be a gentleman who respects a woman and treats her like a lady. I would enjoy being seen with YOU on my arm!
I enjoy traveling and I enjoy visiting places from the American Civil War. I have also been known to relax on the beach.
I have walked a number of our national parks (Grand Canyon, Zion, Arches, etc.). I have traveled to 40 of the states, Canada, Mexico, much of Western Europe, Egypt and Israel. I would like to think that you enjoy visiting museums, old buildings, old homes, concerts and live theatre, as I would enjoy taking you there.
As mentioned, I enjoy live theatre. My preference is for drama and musicals (Yes, I am a straight male who enjoys musicals!) My favorite theatrical production is "Wicked". I have seen it on Broadway and repeatedly in Houston. I also enjoy movies. My favorite move is "Gone With The Wind," closely followed by "Casablanca."
I am a good listener and I look forward to hearing what you will say to me. I value conversation. You can learn much about a person by actually talking with them. I would love to hear your voice.
I like to cook, and, given the opportunity, I would enjoy preparing a meal for you. I like to read and I prefer non-fiction. I have a number of books on the Civil War. However, for a change of pace, I recently read The Roman Emperors; Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus; and Cleopatra, A Life.
I find intelligence to be sexy. The lady in my life knows who she is and has a strong personality. She is kind, considerate, warm, caring, loving and compassionate. She possesses honesty and integrity. She will be my best friend.
My grandchildren are adorable and I visit with them as often as I can.
